Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the principal actor in Stephen Schwartz's celebrated production of "Pippin" which ran on Broadway. "Pippin" was created by Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" that also starred Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the others in the cast. Patina successfully put a contemporary turn to a character created by award-winning actor and actress Ben Vereen and mastered the Fosse movement that the show depends so heavily upon. Patina's performance won her an Tony Award in the category of Best Actress, Lead Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was also presented for Outstanding Actress. Her previous roles included the one as the Leading Player in the American Repertory Theater production of "Pippin" during the month of December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
